The quote describes your view of the "other side". Reread the first few paragraphs of your article with that quote in mind.

Thanks for your comment. I do consider that this is a fundamental human weakness in all people. We all tend to see things in black and white in our own favor.

As for my first few paragraphs, please note that I provided my belief about what explains these negative things I see in progressivism. I explained how I think it is an outcome of progressivism perceiving goodness as a direction rather than as a characteristic of a person or an action. It leads to evils, but it is expressed here that my explanation for it is not that progressives are evil or malicious as people. It isn’t flattering to them, but I’m taking strides here to explain things in a way that does not call them evil or malicious people.

Nonetheless, I am prone, as all people are, to that very same weakness. I am interested in your point of view. What do you propose I have wrong about what motivates progressive values or informs progressive moral principles?
